On 13 September 2024, Anique Hommels held her inaugural lecture as SHT endowed professor in sociohistorical technology studies at Maastricht University, focusing on urban transformations in times of turmoil.
On behalf of the EHL in-house Foundation SHT, which sponsors the endowed chair, Erik van der Vleuten and Jan Korsten participated.
Prior to the inaugural lecture, we co-hosted an symposium on the theme Transforming Cities in Times of Turmoil. there was much inspiration and enthusiastic discussion.
