Last Thursday 16 September 2021, EHL’s Erik van der Vleuten had the honor of presenting the first lecture in the new Lipkens Lecture series at TU Delft. The series addresses science and technology in historical perspective, and is organized by TUD Studium Generale and the Heritage Team of the TUD Library. The series is named after Antoine Lipkens (1782-1847), founder of the predecessor of Delft University of Technology. Last week’s lecture took place in the Library Hall and was entitled Prometheus meets Clio: Technology, Societal Challenges and Global Sustainability in Historical Perspective.
